An episode of Peruvian show Alto al Crimen was being filmed in the Miraflores district of Lima at the time, with Congressman Renzo Reggiardo being interviewed. The production was halted when the crew saw a purple looking object above in the sky.

Both distant and zoomed-in perspectives of the UFO reveal a saucer-shaped object, with a large central bright purple section, tapering off on either end. The extreme right end appears almost black in color, while the opposite end seems to be a darker purple shade than the center part of the object. Eyewitnesses claimed that the strange object was spotted in the sky for two hours. However, no footage has shown of how did the UFO left.
Mutual UFO Network, an American-based society which investigates cases of alleged UFO sightings, is looking into the mystery.
